When will the Mittye P. Locke Early Learning Academy open?

We opened August 2023 at the start of the school year.

Who is eligible to attend?

Children who turn 4 years old on or before September 1.

When can I register my child?

Parents can enroll their children right now! Registering does not guarantee admission because limited seats are available.

Is the Early Learning Academy a part of Mittye P. Locke Elementary School?

Mittye P. Locke Elementary School closed as a K-5 elementary school at the conclusion of the 2022-23 school year. The campus has been converted as the Early Learning Academy.

How many students will the Early Learning Academy have?

Ultimately, the Academy will house 180 students.

What are the school hours? Will there be before and after school care available?

The school day begins at 9:40 a.m. and ends at 3:50 p.m. However, if there is enough interest, we will have before and after school care available as well on a fee basis.
